Hi friends, and welcome to Beyond the Reins Wellness! My name is Hannah Penny: I’m your horse and gym girl all-in-one from small town Texas. I have been riding horses since I was six-years-old and showing since sometime just shortly after that. I have a diverse background in equine disciplines from english, western, rodeo, and now my true love; working cow horses. I fell in love with cow horses so much that I let it take me all the way through college. Competing at a collegiate level and now continuing to pursue my passion well into my career. I’ve started colts, gone foxhunting on a completely feral draft quarter cross and chased buffalo down the wall going full speed ahead.
Horses shaped my life for the most part, but it wasn’t until that last few years that I have had another factor that has improved the quality of my life in and out of the arena. When I first started working out, I felt like I didn't belong. I’m sure many have felt the same way, but I knew I belonged when it came to riding horses. In the end, I’ve found a home in both.
This isn't all about my physical journey in fitness, but my mental and emotional journey. I wanted to showcase that idea of overall wellness, because that’s what fitness is for me. Wellness embodies that idea in practicing creating healthy habits in order to attain better physical and mental health. Long story short Beyond the Reins Wellness was born.
I found a passion in helping others feel better in and out of the arena, and I’m hoping to do that for you! I want this to be a community for my fellow horse friends, gym goers, and everybody in between.
